Business Inc Ltd is a company providing free company registration guides pertaining to company law in the UK and all of the offshore jurisdictions they incorporate in. Their offshore guides cite the various Acts and company legislation in each jurisdiction. Company Debt is a company which provides free insolvency and company rescue advice to UK directors. The services covered on the website include Tax, VAT, Administration, Company Voluntary Liquidation, Members’ Voluntary Liquidation and Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation.
Company Law Club offers a number of services for members (it is free but you have to register) including access to a database of company law (similar to a basic company law textbook online) and access to forms from Companies House. The site is supported by company registration agents Incorporation Services Ltd. From January next year, there will also be a Newsletter providing a Digest of reported cases and New legislation (including statutory instruments).
Company Rescue is the site of the KSA Group. They provide free services to businesses relating to different aspects of insolvency and corporate recovery. There is a large amount of free information on the site and in particular, readers can download a 90 page guide on the CVA rescue mechanism. They will meet company directors, free of charge, to go through all the options.
Corporate Financial Solutions are Independent Licensed Insolvency Practitioners, helping businesses throughout the UK who are struggling with financial pressures. Their web site contains free information about dealing with debt pressures, such as HMRC debt, compulsory liquidation, Winding-up Petitions and cash flow problems. Discrimination Law Blog comes from Brabners Chaffe Street. The blog forms part of their specialised web site Discrimination Law which itself provides a great deal of information on this general area of law.
Freight forwarding
Forwarderlaw is an international resource for legal information on freight forwarding and multimodal transport operations. On the site there is online commentary on developments in the law, a database of past articles, recent cases on the law of international transport, information on mediation and dispute resolution and biographies of the national editors.
Construction
Lawbuild provides an archive of newsletters on construction law and related topics, including a glossary of construction law expressions. Articles are non-academic and practical, aiming to give non-lawyers and non-construction lawyers basic information in an interesting way. However, the firm’s Principal, David Lewis, has now retired and the site is not kept up to date.
