From December 2021, researchers across the Caribbean and Africa can access the official Law Reports of England and Wales on vLex following a pivotal partnership with the ICLR. These authoritative law reports can be accessed alongside vLex’s comprehensive collections of Caribbean case law, the largest collection of UK judgments, and collections of African case law.
Highly sought-after titles, such as The Law Reports, The Weekly Law Reports and The Industrial Cases Reports will be available to customers in these jurisdictions, alongside vLex’s regional and international case law, and intelligent, AI-powered research tools.
Aidan Hawes, Head of Commercial Development at vLex Global Markets, says:
“We are excited to be operating in partnership with the ICLR to provide our customers with access to these collections of official UK Law Reports. The work of the ICLR is vital in producing reliable and authoritative law reports, and we are confident that our customers throughout the Caribbean and Africa will find real value in this collaboration. Those in the Caribbean, for example, may wish to explore the UK Law Reports alongside our existing collection of UK materials and the exclusive CariLaw collection, enabling them to carry out the most comprehensive legal research possible on a single platform.”
Kevin Laws, Chief Executive Officer at ICLR, comments:
“The Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales (ICLR) has been the leading authority on case law since its inception in 1865. Founded by the four Inns of Court to provide succinct, timely, and accurate law reports, ICLR has continued this tradition for over 155 years. We are delighted that vLex is now able to supply our law reports, alongside their local content, to customers in the Caribbean and African region.”
