The Lawyer Locator directory of solicitors, previously provided in printed form as the Butterworths directory but now owned and run online by LexisNexis, provides a service for members of the public to find a solicitor and also provides a service called Lawyer Home Pages which develops various types of "standard" web site for a reasonable cost. Fixed price packages are structured to accommodate firms of different sizes and complexity of requirements. An advantage of using this service is that, once created, the site receives preferential treatment when a member of the public carries out a search.
