The Lawyer Locator directory of solicitors, previously provided in printed form as the Butterworths directory
but now owned and run online by LexisNexis, provides a service for members of the public to find a solicitor
and also provides a service called Lawyer Home Pages which develops various types of "standard" web site for
a reasonable cost. Fixed price packages are structured to accommodate firms of different sizes and complexity
of requirements. An advantage of using this service is that, once created, the site receives preferential
treatment when a member of the public carries out a search.

We quote for all web design projects individually, after a free initial
meeting with the client. Actual cost will vary depending on the number of
pages, whether we need to originate graphics or write copy, whether the firm
already has a corporate style, and how much advice we need to give on
hosting and domain names. As an example, a simple site with a home page, a
page listing the services offered, and an enquiry form would cost about £400
+ VAT. Within that price we would also submit the site to 10 major search
