FirstLAW is an independent
firm of solicitors established to provide impartial professional tendering services for
legal work. It does not
give legal advice itself, but helps clients to find the best expertise in the
marketplace and arranges for firms to submit competitive quotes. The
service is free to clients - FirstLAW takes a referral fee from any firm that is
appointed through them. There are 400 firms registered and FirstLAW has over 20
FTSE 100 clients on their books, providing value added support services to
the in-house counsel of these large groups, sourcing niche legal expertise
and overseas firms for them. They have handled individual instructions of up
to 500,000. Potential clients can register on the site or
