DiscLaw Publishing Ltd provides the www.emplaw.co.uk website and the "e-LOAD"
(employment Law on a Disc) program, also marketed by EMIS Professional Publishing
(formerly CLT Publishing). The service is aimed primarily at in-house lawyers and
general legal practitioners at a budget price. In addition to regularly updated
commentary, precedents and full text of the main employment law statutes,
emplaw.co.uk includes headnotes from hundreds of ICR case reports,
including all recent reports, with direct links to the full text reports
(in the JUSTIS series produced by Context Ltd - see their entry also).
emplaw.co.uk is updated at approx 3 to 4 weekly intervals, save during law vacations.
A six monthly CD-rom version is included in the subscription price.
Free Services
(i) More than 1200 free pages of basic employment law information derived
from a 1997 version of the program (being updated in 2001);
(ii) An immodestly but accurately named "employment law super-portal" page of
direct links (often deep links) to employment law material on a huge number of other
sites, with some sections (such as that covering employment law related SI's) updated
several times every week.
(iii) A regular e-mail "What's New in employment law" newsletter
(iv) Solicitor subscribers are entitled to a free link to their own websites from the interactive map on the "Find a Solicitor" section of the site.
Subscription Services
Various password periods rangng from 24hrs access for 5 plus VAT to a full year
single user subscription at 190 plus VAT or a library licence at 750 plus VAT.
