A new website has been launched for the Court of Appeal (Civil Division), designed to
provide online information and services for civil appeals:
www.civilappeals.gov.uk.
Lord Justice Brooke, Vice-President of the Court of Appeal (Civil Division), says: “The
new website is designed to help people find out more about the work of the civil Court
of Appeal, whatever their interest – whether as a party, lawyer, journalist, law student
or interested member of the public. We are conscious that the workings of the appeal
court are not always apparent – for example we explain the court fees and the time
limits involved in making a civil appeal amongst the many answers to questions on the
site”.
“We also have links to a database of the most interesting and significant cases recently
determined by the court. And we have some details about the Appeal Judges who will
be sitting on cases. We hope that people will find it of use.”
