Murdoch's Irish Legal Companion

Murdoch's Irish Legal Companion is published by Irish electronic publisher Lendac at http://milc.lendac.ie. This incorporates a Dictionary of Irish Law, plus the full text of cited Acts & Statutory Instruments from 1922-2000, and also defines the principle words and phrases encountered

in Irish Law with, in most instances, the legal source of such definition, whether statutory or judicial, and a brief introduction to the relevant law. This dictionary contains 6,500 legal definitions cross referenced with the Acts & S.I.s. A free trial is available from the site.

Legal Eagle Links at http://www.legaleaglelinks.com is a set of categorised web links for Irish lawyers. It has been set up by Declan O'Reilly, an Apprentice Solicitor in Dublin and covers court links, professional and trade links, education, media, government and a growing set of links categorised by topics - computers & IT, constitutional, corporate, employment, intellectual property, planning and partnership law. Whilst basing each section on Irish resources, the site also covers international sources.

"Guide to Irish Law" by Dr. Darius Whelan, lecturer in law at the Institute of Technology, Tallaght, Dublin, is published on the USA LLRX Librarian's site at http://www.llrx.com/features/irish.htm. This describes the Irish legal systems as if to a lawyer or student of law from another country, making full use of legal sources and resources on the web.
