This site provides a comprehensive set of links to useful legal resources, designed to be of use to the legal community in the UK and Ireland. It was set up in 1995 and is still going strong as one of the very few independent legal web sites. There are more details about the site and about me here.

For the first 10 years of maintaining this site, and until October 2006, I did not accept advertising or sponsorship of any kind. However, I now feel that a few sponsored links are acceptable to most viewers and, quite honestly, it is rather nice to be generating income from the site! However, it will always be completely clear which entries are sponsored links. There is some information about the preparation of the adverts (which I can assist you with) at the end of this page, here.

Many of the positions described below are taken for the time being, but I operate a waiting list so you can establish yourself in the queue for a particular type of vacancy - contact me on delia@venables.co.uk.

Black Knight Associates provide software to enable a law firm to create a series of fully interactive questionnaires; the end result is a bespoke advice note, designed by the lawyer, that a client can pay for and download. Lawyers can see daily figures showing the numbers of new clients being advised by the firm. Terry Lindon said:- "Since advertising on the Venables site, enquiries from Lawyers have increased threefold resulting in many new clients for Black Knight Associates."
Emma Rae of TikitTFB, supplier of leading practice management software Partner for Windows, said:

Preparation of adverts

Note that the actual sponsored link can be along any of these lines:
  1. A text based advert, possibly with logos included, where I prepare the advert (see most of the adverts on the Bar page and the Firms page).

  2. The company provide a complete banner advert for me to use (all the adverts on the Software page).

  3. The company set up a banner advert on THEIR site and I "pull in" the advert (see the CPDWebinars advert on the CPD page.)
